It all started with a voicemail. Bernard Young, a chemical company representative at that time, noticed that many of the hotel laundries he visited were costly and inefficient. He figured he could do better as a niche service provider processing items such as customer-owned table linens.

Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford attended the new Metro Laundry Service opening in Howard County. Governor Larry Hogan visited several Maryland businesses and future business locations across the state this week.

Maryland Secretary of Commerce Michael Gill; Jolette, Steven and Bernard Young; and Maryland Lt. Gov. Boyd K. Rutherford cut the ribbon at the formal opening of the new Metro Laundry Service Plant in Elkridge, MD. The plant will process goods mainly for high-end hotel customers.
