Metro Laundry Service Gains Industry Insights at TRSA’s 14th Annual Legislative Conference

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD, Apr 12, 2024—Steven Young, COO, and Richard Burney, Business Development Director from Metro Laundry Service (MLS), recently attended the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) 14th Annual Legislative Conference held in Washington, D.C., from April 10–11, 2024. At the conference, Metro Laundry Service (MLS) connected with fellow industry leaders to engage with policymakers and discuss industry interests and key issues.

Leading Industry Change

Together, representatives Steven Young and Richard Burney met with Capitol Hill policymakers to inform policy decisions and advocate for relevant agendas that will impact the future landscape of the commercial laundry and luxury hotel sector.

“We don’t like to just adapt to changes. We like to anticipate and get ahead of them,” said Steven Young, COO of Metro Laundry Service (MLS). “We’ll use what we learn from the TRSA Conference to guide our company toward where the industry is headed. It’s how we’ve managed to stay ahead of the curve and lead the industry the way we do.”

Beyond policy discussions, Metro Laundry Service (MLS) benefited from their participation in committee sessions, particularly the Hospitality and IT Committees. In these forums, Metro Laundry Service (MLS) exchanged best practices, gathered actionable insights, and participated in the development of innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service excellence.

Continuing Industry Involvement

Metro Laundry Service (MLS) has a long history of involvement with TRSA events. In addition to the Annual Legislative Conference, the company aims to participate in the East Coast Regional Production Summit and Plant Tours when possible. Excitingly, in the near future, Metro Laundry Service’s plant will be hosting a tour for trainees with TRSA, offering an in-depth look at its operations and insights into the laundry industry.

“We’re excited to continue our participation in upcoming TRSA events,” said Steven Young, COO of Metro Laundry Service. “Our involvement provides us with opportunities for networking, education, and best practices that propel our company forward.”
